Jack Lupo (pictured to the right) lost a hard and heroic battle against
neuroblastoma and passed away at the tender age of five (5) on December 21,
2003. Although his battle is over, there are still thousands and thousands
of children combating this condition every day and this is why we must
continue the good fight. The
Elmhurst Newcomers and Neighbors Club
(ENNC) has a long history of helping various organizations and the
communities they serve and when they heard about Jack and Friends for
Steven, they chose to join our cause by naming Friends For Steven as one of
their 2005 charities of choice.
Spring Fundraiser - Saturday, April 16,
2005 - Sugar Creek Golf Course
Please join the
Elmhurst Newcomers and Neighbors Club for their annual charity Spring
Fundraiser “Limousine Scavenger Hunt” on Saturday, April 16th.
All participants will meet at Sugar Creek Golf Course at 7 pm to get the
rules and meet your team of 6 or 8. You'll have an hour and a half to do
your hunting, so don't get too comfortable riding around in that limo
because prizes will be awarded to the winning team. You are welcome to bring
drinks in the limo. The early bird fee is $36 per person if you sign up and
pay by the end of the February 21 general meeting. The $36 fee covers the
room rental at Sugar Creek, non-alcoholic beverages, pizza and salad at 9
pm, the limo rental and prizes. For an additional charge of $22 per person,
a premium bar package will be available as well. After February 21, the $36
fee will increase to $42. Sign up will end April 7.

It is
encouraging to know that
with the
help and support of organizations like ENNC, we will be one step closer to
finding a cure for this devastating disease. Friends
For Steven Pediatric Cancer Foundation would like to thank the Elmhurst
Newcomers and Neighbors Club for choosing FFS as one of your 2005
charities of choice.
