On April 29, 2004, FFSJB kicked off our inaugural event – “Cocktailing for Kids”!  We were guest bartenders for the night at a local Lincoln Park favorite, Irish Eyes.  As bartenders, we served friends, neighbors, and regulars for our cause – in return, we were able to keep any tips we earned!  Those of us who worked behind the bar developed a whole new respect for “the customer is always right” and bartenders on busy nights-especially those who are asked to make several mixed drinks and shots at one time!!! After his experience bartending, Justin said he might never order a mixed drink again!

The luck of the Irish was upon us, because we surpassed our stretch goal of raising $1,000 and raised $1,100.  We have much loftier goals, but are pleased and proud of the results from our first event.
