Last April, Friends for Steven received the honor and privilege of being named the main beneficiary of Dance Marathon
2002,Northwestern University's year-long annual fundraising event planned entirely by students.

"We were so proud and excited when DM chose us," said Dr. Scott Sagerman of Friends for Steven and former DM
participant. Sagerman graduated from Northwestern in '85 and experienced 2 dance marathons while there. "Planning this
event, and getting to know the kids behind it really personalized the year for all of us."
The year's activities and planning culminate in a weekend dance marathon attended by 500 determined students
